Making memories at Trelissick Gardens, Cornwall
two little ladies & A BABy photoshoot
Ah, this family. I love them dearly! This is session number 12 I think we worked out - from first meeting for their eldest daughter’s maternity session, I have documented each step of this family as it has evolved and grown and I cherish these memories almost as much as they do I think!
It’s always wonderful shooting regulars as we know each other so well, it’s so much more relaxed and enjoyable for everyone. I loved catching up with the girls and joking around with them, and of course seeing how their baby brother has grown since his newborn session and wow! So handsome!
Photoshoot at Trelissick Gardens
I suggested Trelissick as a location as we were looking for somewhere we could go during the day as opposed to golden hour, around Truro. I love this part of the public space surrounding the NT gardens because its usually shaded and quiet, and I love the trees - it’s simply beautiful.
As usual it was a busy, chatty session and we didn’t stay still for long. Jonathan was great - so chilled and sweet even though I know he was tired. Second and third babies usually are so much less demanding in my experience (let me know if you disagree!).
Fortunately we managed to finish before the local herd of cows sauntered over and invaded our area - I’m not a huge fan of bovines up close!
The added bonus was a Callestick ice cream from the van at the end - well deserved and highly recommended.
I look forward to the next session around his first birthday, although that will be in winter so we might be a little more wrapped up for that one!
