I know very well as a single mum to two busy boys that parenthood can feel like an endless & crazy merry-go-round. It’s easy to take for granted how precious each day together is! The trouble is, we think we have all this time, and then suddenly it’s gone.
That’s why it is important to create new memories and a sense of connection as often as you can - no matter how old they are. A family photoshoot in Cornwall is a time & space set aside to do just that. No phones or distractions - just you and the moment, whatever’s happening.
The best photos happen when there is trust and surrendering to the moment unfolding. I love natural honest family photos that capture your love, connection and all the messy chaos of family life. I offer a space for you all to be you - no pretending, or trying to be anything. We'll explore, connect, be present together.

We can meet at your favourite Cornish beach, or at your home. We can go for a walk or just blow bubbles in the garden.

Cornwall can be a paradise for family photoshoots - with such beautiful landscapes - but it can also contain every season within one day.
Sometimes there is no choice but to work with what we have, but it’s great to have an open plan for your session day just in case.
Variables like weather, moods, external factors out of our control become part of the experience and can make it all the more memorable, but it’s good to keep schedules flexible too.
I really do love a family photo session to feel like an adventure, with a sense of spontaneity, love and abandon. Ever been caught out in the rain and ended up having the best fun, ruined hair and all? Kids love seeing us let go and joining them in the moment, and I love it when those moments occur in a session!
So if it’s a Cornwall beach family photoshoot you have your heart set on, be prepared to go with the flow and embrace the elements. Or we can reschedule if it looks terrible!
Early mornings & evenings are best - as close to sunrise or sunset as possible, but I’ll work with you to find a time that works for everyone if you can’t face such an early or late start.

let’s go for a walk - relaxed home sessions
Something I love to do is spend a couple of hours hanging out together. Your family photoshoot in Cornwall doesn’t have to be at the beach.
We can start out at your home, very relaxed. There are so many gorgeous moments that can be captured there. After that we can go for a stroll, stop at your children’s favourite field or park, or play in the garden.
There is something very special about a lifestyle session close to home where your memories are made.
Moving soon? Want to include family pets pets that can’t travel to locations (cats etc)? Have children who might feel more relaxed in their familiar surroundings?
There are a ton of reasons why these sessions might be just right for you. You’re not as restricted to beginning or end of the day (as beach sessions are), and kids are a lot more inclined to open up when the session is on their turf!

We’ll meet for a pre-session consultation to discuss goals for the session & plan the details (in person / on the phone). I’ll provide prep guides containing tips & advice so you arrive feeling confident and relaxed.

photoshoot & editing
Time to let go and enjoy the moments that unfold - don’t worry, I’ll guide you along the way!
Afterwards I’ll curate & edit a final gallery of 30 - 40 images for you to choose from.

3.
collections & wall art
1-2 weeks later we’ll meet back at the studio where you can view the images and order your prints, albums, digital collections, and wall art.
