January is typically the quietest month for me as a Cornish baby photographer, but there always seems to be much to do anyway! Sometimes I wonder how I manage to fit shoots in at all!
I have been beavering away behind the scenes, setting up a new client management portal with my lovely new assistant Claire. I have also been looking ahead to 2022, deciding on new pricing structures, and not least, taking on a slightly bigger studio - eeek! I have been eyeing up my next door neighbour’s space for ages, and feeling increasingly cramped in my small quarters.
Those who have had a session with me will know, it is a bit of a squeeze! So I’m hoping that the new space will lessen the chaos that sessions can occasionally be reduced to. The move is planned for the beginning of March 2022.
Getting connected
Social media has brought some wonderful new connections lately (not least of all, Claire from Herding Ducks VA). If you get in touch to book a session, it will most likely be she who will take care of all the details and get you sorted. She is so helpful and friendly and I am happy to have her as a team mate!

Braving the cold wind at the beach, Louvain totally embraced the wild elements and we got some beautiful, dramatic photos as a result. Taken at Porthluney Beach.
Me, in the studio in Truro, just before a viewing appointment with some newborn clients. When I looked at these photos I realised how tiny my viewing screen is! Massive screen is on my wishlist for the new studio :)
Aw, little George! He was so full of expressions! He was very awake for his newborn session, but incredibly sweet and chilled. This is him giving a curious look at me from the safe vantage point of his daddy’s hands.
