Saying goodbye to 2019 with photos on the beach | Cornwall photographer

Ok, so it's not a 100% Cornish style New Year's day here this year as Tony has woken up feeling ill, and the ocean dip is having to be postponed.  We were looking forward to watching, so will try and make sure it does happen in the next few days!

It is that time of year where everybody is posting their Top Nine and reflecting on the past 12 months (and at the turn of the decade, the past 10 years!).  I usually spend much of December possibility thinking - that wonderful state, full of ideas, projecting myself into a future where all the things that hold me back no longer exist.  Do you do this?  Maybe this is the 'New year, new me' syndrome :)  Anyway, I have a strong urge to shake off the past year and change things up.  It will be my sixth year as a photographer here in beautiful Cornwall.  I am still evolving (and expect that I always will be to some extent) and this year I'd like to explore simplicity and the concept of 'less is more'.  The goals are also to keep improving and get better organised!

2019 was a mixed year, tough in many ways.  I have had so many wonderful sessions, met some awesome new people, and seen plenty of return clients coming back with their second or third babies which is always fantastic.

I am excited about what lies in store - either way things will work out and this does feel like a bit of a transformation process.  We will see.  In the meantime, some photos of the beach :)  And Happy New Year to you!
