Ever wondered if family photography is really worth it?

I’ve been in business over a decade, photographing families as they grow and change year after year. Some of the first babies I ever photographed are now starting secondary school, and when I look back at their toddler photos, I get all emotional - and they’re not even my children!

When I get feedback after a session, or even several years later from families I’ve photographed, there is no doubt that my clients believe that family photography is 100% worth it.

Sure, it’s an expense, but when do you ever spend money on something that only gets more valuable over time?

It really is an investment.

Your family photographs that you’ve invested time and money in having professionally taken will become irreplaceable and worth more than any amount of money in years to some.

These memories are precious & priceless.

Taking time out to spend an hour with a professional photographer in a beautiful setting, all wearing carefully chosen outfits that reflect each unique character, with thought and care about how everything fits together, results in truly beautiful images that you will have forever.

Jo & Matt

I met Jo & Matt when they were pregnant with their first child, and they went on to book a ‘Watch Me Grow’ package which captured several milestones of their baby’s first year.

They repeated this tradition with each of their additional two children, and so I have photographed their family several times as they’ve grown over the years (you can see some of their photos in the gallery at the end).

It was fantastic to have the opportunity to capture some updated family photos at the beach recently, and it got me thinking about the value of these photos, now that the children have changed so much (and will continue to do so!! ).

So, is family photography worth it?

The answer has to be a humungous YES!!! Family photography is totally worth it! When you have photos of your favourite people that you love and treasure forever, you’ll understand that it’s worth every penny, and more.
